About the project
The EmpowerYouth Erasmus+ project brings together a diverse and experienced partnership committed to supporting young people’s wellbeing, participation, and personal development across Europe. Each partner contributes unique expertise in youth work, education, mental health, innovation, and community engagement, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to empowering young people from different backgrounds.
Through close collaboration between non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and consulting bodies, the partnership combines evidence-based practices with creative and participatory methods, and inclusive educational strategies. Together, the partners aim to strengthen youth resilience, promote active citizenship, and support sustainable social change at both local, national and European levels.
About the partners
Pieta in Iceland is a non-profit organisation which aims to provide prevention services for youth through evidence-based practices such as Cogitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The organization opened in 2017 in Reykjavík Iceland. The organization has opened sub-centers in north of Iceland in Akureyri in 2021, in the west of Iceland in Ísafjörður in 2023, and in the east of Iceland in 2025. Pieta has an open hot-line 24/7 and provides services free of charge.
NORTH Consulting is a small team of education, culture and innovation enthusiasts who are committed to: educational excellence from policy to the classroom; ensuring that creativity and curiosity is fostered from an early age and nurtured throughout life; and to helping others realize their dreams through thoughtful strategy and planning; and empowering people from all backgrounds to have a voice and take action.
The National Management School (NMS) is a distinguished non-profit organization from Bulgaria with a rich history, founded in 1990.

CENTRO PER LO SVILUPPO CREATIVO “DANILO DOLCI” is a non-profit organisation located in Palermo, born in 1958 from the experience and work of Danilo Dolci, a social activist, sociologist, nonviolent and educator, CSC “Danilo Dolci” works with young people and adults and has successfully operated for more than twenty years mainly in the educational sector in collaboration with schools, universities, institutions, associations and social groups both at local and at international level.
About the cards
These cards form a comprehensive, youth-centered toolkit focused on self-understanding, emotional wellbeing, values, and healthy relationships. Together, they guide young people in exploring who they are, what matters to them, and what gives their lives meaning, while normalizing common experiences such as self-doubt, comparison, negative thinking, overwhelm, loneliness, and social pressure.
Drawing strongly on cognitive-behavioral principles, mindfulness, and emotional literacy, the cards help young people recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, understand emotions as signals rather than facts, and develop greater self-compassion. Strong emphasis is placed on clarifying personal values, identifying and , using strengths, defining success personally, and taking small, realistic steps toward growth and purpose.
At the same time, the cards encourage connection, courage, and responsibility toward others, both offline and online. They address themes such as bystander behavior, bullying, boundaries, communication, forgiveness, apology, cooperation, and digital safety, offering practical tools for acting with kindness, integrity, and respect.
Rather than promoting perfection, the approach highlights small actions, self-reflection, and repair when things go wrong. Overall, the card collection empowers young people to take ownership of their choices, manage stress and emotions more effectively, build healthier relationships, and live in alignment with their values—one small, intentional step at a time.
